Classes
The Strand Dance School follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which provides scope for classes from the youngest dancers up to the Vocational syllabus level. As well as classical ballet, the syllabus covers character dance and free movement styles.
Our aim is to also provide open classes and additional syllabus classes leading up to exams.
Classes are from age of 2 ½ up, starting with thirty minutes at this age and building up to an hour or more depending on the age and level of the student. Beginners are welcome and will be placed in an appropriate age related group to ensure that each student feels comfortable. Enrolment can be completed at any time during the year.
The key focus of school is for children and students to have fun while gaining the benefits of dance, regardless of age or ability. Everyone will be supported and encouraged. Children who have the desire and ability to take their dancing further will be supported in achieving their goals.
